It is a nice basic hotel - close to the u/bahn and within easy walking distance of The K'Damm shopping area. The breakfast was very good, always a good choice even half an hour before it ended.
Top Tip
There is a local German restaurant on the way to the u-bahn, we had 3 meals in there, it gets very busy on a Sunday evening.

I would only recommend this hotel as a very basic hotel. Once you get past the initial 'Oh my god what sort of hotel is this' it was actually OK. Although the hotel was very dated and tired, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good and it was in a good location with bars/restaurants nearby and only 5 minutes walk from the nearest underground station. So I would recommend it but only if you are looking for a very basic hotel.
Top Tip
Good Irish bar 10 minutes walk away, Irish Harp pub, Giesebrechtstrasse 15, just off Kurfurstendamm for live sports. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

No lounge bar although we were told we could purchase alcohol and drink in the reception area (only enough seats for six people). Breakfasts very good, good choice of cold meats and cheese, cerials, bread and eggs.
Top Tip
Many places to eat within ten minutes walk from the hotel. Rail and bus travel very good throughout the city and stations only five minutes walk from hotel. Very close to the main shopping street. The museums are a must.
