This hotel is situated at the best end of Kurfurstendam allowing you easy walking/transport to the Mitte area where a lot of the sites are.
Hotel also has a roof garden -- did not expect to sunbathe in March!
No tea/coffee in room but we just took our own travel kettle.
Staff very friendly.
Breakfast was self service and had a good mixture of cold and hot. The light was initially out at the front door to the hotel access so for a minute thought the hotel was shut.
Top Tip
The restaurant Schildkrote (Turtles) on Kurfurstendamm 212 was excellent value for money.
Found mineral water expensive at around 5 euros for a 750ml bottle.
Tourist books site the tourist office in the Euro Centre is now off Kurfurstendamm.
Take layers for clothing.

Hotel is nice. Perfect for people on working trips or perhaps as somewhere to stay for a night or two.
Breakfast and the staff are spot on.
For a central Berlin hotel in a very suave area for cheap this hotel fis the bill but Berlin on the whole was too expensive with not that much to do.
Top Tip
For a lively holiday I would not recommend this hotel, there just isn't a lot do to in close proximity to the hotel with hardly any lively places nearby. No clubs and few pubs are close, several restaurants though and enough department type shopping centres for the whole of Europe.
The zoo is very nearby and that is quite a good half day out.
Transport links to this hotel are excellent too which makes visiting the Jewish museum, checkpoint Charlie, the remnants of the Berlin wall the Brandenburg gate and the Reichstag very easy.

The hotel was very good value for money. We choose it because of its excellent location. The rooms are basic but clean. similar to a 3* in england. Breakfast was good. Even though our room looked over the main road, it was still relatively quiet.

Rooms were functional, but no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. The room terrace area for drinks, breakfasts etc is excellent when the weather is good, not so much when its wet and windy.

Good situation for transport.Good buffet breakfast but eat early as ran out of several items.Rooms were a bit dated and the carpet was dirty and needed replaced.Single beds were like bunks at right angles to each other. No air conditioning in rooms. The picture of the rooms on the web site was nothing like the rooms we were allocated.

The hotel is in a perfect location like staying on grafton street in Dublin. The staff are really helpful and nice and thankfully speak more languages than me. Not having german wasn't a problem.
Top Tip
Use behind the hotel the underground the U2 goes to potsdamer platz and aleaander platz as well. The s bahn from the Airport to hotel is right beside you we read it was a km but not at all and goes right to zoo station beside hotel, when you get off walk towards the ruin of the church, hotels adjecent.

The hotel itself was fine. However, after phoning before confirming the booking, the guy on reception confirmed 2 of my absolute requirements. When I arrived, the hotel did NOT provide these 2 services. (In room internet & room service). As a business traveller it was most unaccpetable.
