Zoo hotel
The hotel is centrally located in the liveliest part of the city, right by the world famous Kurfürstendamm. Within easy reach of the hotel you'll find the flagship stores, theatres, cabaret, the best musicals and the opera.

Zoo hotel
The Zoo Hotel is housed in a prestigious Berlin Jugendstil building of the 1920s, with 3,80 metre high ceilings. During the 1950s it was the official hotel of the Berlin movie Festival, the Berlinale, and played host to many great European film stars. Today, the 136 guestrooms, spread over six floors, have bright, contemporary décor, complemented by carpeted floors, coffee tables and full-length mirrors. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. In the G-Lounge, with its wall to wall windows, you can soak up the chic atmosphere and enjoy snacks, drinks and cocktails as a prelude to visiting the local theatre and restaurants. The hotel also offers a Continental buffet in its welcoming breakfast room, which is furnished with sleek, high-backed dark wooden chairs and adorned with colourful movie prints.

room may need some upgrading as carpets looks old... but good breakfast! Hotel location is excellent. Good size rooms only problems thin curtains which makes the room very bright in the morning and even at night

Well located for public transport links; lift right next to reception; staff were helpful, continental buffet- type breakfast was good; luggage can be left at reception after checkout, which is useful if you have several hours to spare before catching flight home.
Top Tip
Reinhards Restaurant on Kurfurstendamm serves good food (excellent steak)and staff very attentive. Also Hamlet Restaurant on Uhlandstrasse 47 was very pleasant (try the creamed apple and celery soup topped with nettle leaves as a starter) as well as the 'Salate Schlossgarten' at Kleine Orangerie, Shloss Charlottenburg. Underground system was found to be smart, clean and efficient. Make sure you have plenty of small change for the ticket machines and don't forget to validate the ticket (small yellow machines with ticket slot on platforms) before you travel!
